W. Paul Delp, president of Lansdale Warehouse Co., Lansdale, PA, has been named to the Railroad-Shipper Transportation Advisory Council of the U.S. Surface Transportation Board.
Delp also serves as president of the American Chain of Warehouses Inc. He has served on the board of directors of the International Warehouse Logistics Association and as co-chair of the IWLA’s Transportation Advisory Council (formerly known as the IWLA Rail Council).
RSTAC’s 15 appointed members consist of senior officials representing large and small shippers, as well as large and small railroads. In addition, the U.S. Secretary of Transportation and the five STB members serve as ex officio members.
The council provides advice on regulatory, policy and legislative matters, as appropriate, to the STB chairman, Secretary of Transportation, U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, and the House of Representatives Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
Delp is a graduate of Penn State University and is a major supporter of its logistics school educational programs and activities.
