The National Labor Relations Board offers a free mobile app for iPhone and Android devices that describes rights the board enforces, including the union representation process, and has contact information for NLRB regional offices.
The board said the app will help answer some of the more than 80,000 inquiries it receives each year, but it also makes it easier for employees to file NLRB charges. For this reason employers would be well advised to take a look at the app themselves.
The introduction of the app followed a 2013 federal appeals court decision striking down a workplace poster previously required by the NLRB.
